To bury the dead is not only one of the corporal works of mercy, it is a proclamation of our belief in the Resurrection. Calvary Cemetery will support families with compassion and remind us that our journey ends not in death, but in Christ who has conquered death. He is alive!

Archbishop Paul S. Coakley

As shepherd of this Archdiocese, I fully support Calvary Cemetery as a sacred space where this corporal work of mercy finds lasting expression. In opening Calvary Cemetery, we affirm the truth that death is not the end. It is a holy passage, marked by faith, reverence, and hope in the Resurrection of the dead.

Archbishop Paul S. Coakley

Calvary Cemetery is a vital ministry of our Archdiocese, providing sacred ground where faith, hope, and the dignity of every life are honored.

Archbishop Paul S. Coakley

Calvary Cemetery, opening early 2027, has been prayerfully designed as a sacred place of rest and resurrection. Rooted in Catholic tradition, the grounds will offer a variety of memorials, including flat, beveled, and upright headstones. At its heart, the 14 Stations of the Resurrection— crafted as columbaria—invite reflection on Christ’s victory over death. Along the peaceful waterfront, Private Family Estates will provide space for Traditional, Cremation, or Mixed-Use burial. Glass Front Niches near the chapel offer a dignified, indoor option. Future development will include public mausoleums, gardens, and spaces for prayerful visitation and remembrance.
